« I first came in touch with the field of assisting reproduction through my Thesis ‘’ Exploring the experiences of surrogate mothers in Greece : an interpretative phenomenological analysis‘’ in school of Psychology, supervised by Mrs. Papaligoura, Psychologist specialized in Assisted reproduction matters. The particular project was the first attempt to investigate surrogate motherhood for the first time in Greece through their point of view. Owing to Assisting Nature, I was offered the opportunity to meet with surrogate mothers and discuss about their motives, thoughts, feelings over the process, towards the parents and the child in the phase before the embryo transfer, during the pregnancy and after relinquishing the baby. This experience revealed to me how interestingly complicated the process of having a child is.»
