Senior Fertility Midwife Coordinator


Since December 2020, she has been the Director of Midwifery and Quality Management at the Assisting Nature Group’s Medically Assisted Reproduction and Cryopreservation Unit in Thessaloniki and Larissa.

Maria has been a Director of Midwifery in Assisted Reproduction since 2005. She worked for sixteen consecutive years as a Director of Midwifery and Quality Manager in a newly established Assisted Reproduction Unit, significantly contributing to optimizing its operations with a strong sense of responsibility, commitment to quality, and organizational spirit.

From 2000 to 2004, she worked as a Head Midwife in the delivery room, operating room, and other departments of a well-known maternity hospital in Thessaloniki, which was later relocated to a newly established large maternity clinic in the city, where she continued to work until 2005. During this time, she became familiar with and fascinated by Medically Assisted Reproduction.

Her postgraduate studies include Business Administration and Human Resources Management (2016). She has been a certified external Quality Systems Inspector since 2015.

In 2020, she attended Risk Management seminars related to risk management in Assisted Reproduction Units, with annual duration.

She advocates that Safety, Quality, Transparency, Innovation, Teamwork are the keys to a successful Medically Assisted Reproduction Unit. Responsibility and effectiveness in meeting the needs and expectations of stakeholders are based on adherence to ethical values and scientific knowledge while developing care relationships.
