Anna Timologou | MD, MSc, PhD

Gynaecologist with reproductive medicine interests

BIOGRAPHY

She graduated from Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2003. She specialized in obstetrics and gynaecology in the hospital of Larisa and in the department of obstetrics and gynaecology of Ippokratio hospital of Thessaloniki.

In 2008, she obtained a Master’s degree in “Biology of Reproduction” from the University of Thessaly. In 2016, she supported her PhD thesis and she was announced doctor of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The subject of her thesis was about the role of two genes that suppress the metastasis in the pathophysiology of endometriosis and was supervised by the professor Mr. Gregory Girmpizis.


Since 2012, she is a Gynecologist and Obstetrician in Thessaloniki with a special interest in infertility and reproductive medicine. She is a member of the Greek Association of Obstetrics and Gynecology, of the Greek Association of Ultrasounds in Obstetrics and Gynecology, of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and of the European Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (ESGE).


Current scientific interests

Her research project focuses on the field of gynaecological endocrinology and assisted reproduction.
