BIOGRAPHY

Evangelos Sp. Bampas, MD, PhD, is a Surgeon Obstetrician – Gynecologist since 2010. He specializes in Assisted Reproduction, Infertility, Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic Surgery. Additionally, he is proficient in Robotic Surgery and has extensive experience in performing complex surgical procedures across the full spectrum of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Specifically, in Laparoscopic and Hysteroscopic procedures alone, he has performed over 2,000 surgeries to date.

Focusing on the unique needs and characteristics of each woman, Dr. Bampas has cared for thousands of patients over the past 14 years, offering reliability, safety, and effectiveness thanks to his extensive expertise in the fields, as well as in High-Risk Pregnancy & Fetal-Maternal Medicine, Cervical Pathology & Colposcopy, and Urogynecology.

With a patient-centered approach, Dr. Bampas emphasizes a thorough investigation of each medical issue and provides a comprehensive analysis of the individualized treatment he recommends, based on the latest advancements in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He actively follows scientific developments by participating in national and international conferences, seminars, and medical journals. His scientific interests focus on the diagnosis and treatment of infertile couples, with significant experience in managing immunological disorders related to infertility and recurrent pregnancy loss, as well as in Fetal-Maternal Medicine and Urogynecology (urinary stress incontinence and prolapse).

He is distinguished by his direct communication, honesty, and persistence in exploring all aspects of reproductive health until he finds the most appropriate solutions to help couples conceive.

Evangelos Bampas earned his medical degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) on July 20, 1998. In 2000, he began his specialization in Surgery within the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the 3rd University Surgical Clinic of AHEPA General Hospital of Thessaloniki. From February 2002 to February 2004, he specialized in the Gynecologic Oncology Clinic of A.N.Th. “Theageneio.”

From the early stages of his career, he participated in complex surgical procedures, initially as part of the team of Thoracic Surgeon Vasileios Chalvatzoulis and later in the team of Professor of Thoracic Surgery Kyriakos Rammos from April 2004 to September 2005. Additionally, he actively participated in and attended Endoscopic Surgeries at the Endoscopic Surgery Center of the Interbalkan Medical Center of Thessaloniki under the supervision of Dr. Pantos from October 2005 to May 2009.

From October 2007 to October 2009, Dr. Bampas completed his specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the 3rd OB-GYN Clinic of “Ippokrateio” General Hospital of Thessaloniki. Earlier that year, on May 27, he successfully defended his PhD thesis, receiving the highest distinction, “Excellent.” His doctoral dissertation, titled “Cell Death – Apoptosis in Precancerous and Cancerous Conditions of the Human Cervix,” led to his official recognition as a Doctor of Medicine at AUTH on June 22, 2009.

Between 2011 and 2013, he worked as an Obstetrician-Gynecologist at the IKA Votsi Clinic in Thessaloniki while actively handling infertility cases at distinguished Αssisted Reproduction Clinics in Thessaloniki.

Since September 2016, he has been offering his expertise and specialized knowledge at the Assisting Nature IVF Center.

He holds a Master’s degree in Human Reproduction – IVF from the Medical School of the University of Alexandroupolis (March 2020). Additionally, he is certified in painless Hysterosalpingography using foam contrast media (ExEm Foam Kit).

Today, he maintains his private practice in the center of Thessaloniki, providing a wide range of modern services covering all aspects of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Evangelos Bampas is an active member of several professional organizations, including the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE), the International Society of Gynecological Endocrinology (ISGE), the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the European Society of Gynecologic Endoscopy (ESGE), the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP), the Hellenic Society of Gynecologic Endoscopy, the Obstetrics and Gynecology Society of Thessaloniki, and the Hellenic Society of Robotic Gynecologic Surgery.
